It started with ripped pants on a chairlift.
Hi, I'm Maria - founder of Nobody's Princess, and proud Chief Pant Splitter. I built the snow gear I could never find: gear that actually fits and adjusts to women's bodies.
All of them.
I've worked to design the best fitting snow gear for women. Working with an experienced snow apparel designer, I listened to the feedback that you'd been trying to give snow apparel companies for years, identified the pain points that women experience and made snow gear so you can truly belong.
Let's go back to 2018.
The day enough became enough.
Almost every time I'd go to the snow, there would be something about my snow pants that prevented me from moving freely, and made me feel uncomfortable and insecure.
It was my belt done up so tight it hurt, because I was trying to cinch in the waist on pants I had to size up in just so they would fit over my hips It was how I kept getting snow down my backside because the waist gaped if I didn't wear a belt at all. It was how I was too scared to bend over to adjust my boots out of fear the crotch or backside of my pants ripping, and how some pants I owned were too tight that I just physically couldn't bend at all.
It was early in the 2018 season and I was in brand new snow pants - they made my ass look great. I was on a chair lift when I felt a breeze in a place there really shouldn't be one. The crotch had given out - it was my worst nightmare. I naturally blamed my curvaceous booty, but the truth was simpler: they didn't fit me, and it wasn't going to be the only time it happen, nor was I the only one.
Every woman on that chair lift had a version of the same story - belts cinched painfully tight, waists that gaped, legs we were too scared to bend. Over the following weeks and months, that conversation never stopped - so I did something about it.

69% of women have torn the crotch in their snow pants. The industry graded one slim pattern up and down and called it women's gear (orunisex if we were lucky!). We refused to accept that as good enough.
We researched thousands of women worldwide in 2020 and found this statistic from our results.

From a Kickstarter idea to a global brand.
From the early days of posting our thoughts on social media groups and launching a Kickstarter campaign to validate our idea, all the way through to designing, prototyping, testing - and now having our gear stocked in stores all over the world. The one thing that remained consistent was the support we had from women in our community, all wanting something better, something we deserved.

Our journey has been in motion since 2020, where we've publicly shared details and the development process over the years. Every product has been built on the feedback of women just like yourself. Women who have struggled to find snow gear that fits them and their bodies the way it should, without compromise. We now continue our journey to make sure that being at the snow is somewhere we all belong, and that our snow apparel isn't what stops us.
