What does 20k waterproofing mean?

The "20K" (20,000mm) is a waterproof rating from a standard industry test. A tube of water is placed over the fabric, and the number is how tall that column of water can get – in millimetres – before any moisture seeps through. The higher the number, the more waterproof the fabric. So 20,000mm means our fabric holds back a 20-metre column of water before it gives. For reference, anything around 10,000mm is considered properly waterproof for resort skiing – 20K sits comfortably at the high-performance end.

There's usually a second number for breathability, measured in grams (g), which is how much moisture vapour the fabric lets out over 24 hours. Ours is 20,000g, so sweat and heat escape rather than leaving you clammy. In short: 20K/20K means you stay dry from the snow and dry from your own sweat.

How do I know what size to get?

Start with two things: our size guide and your body shape. Unlike most women's snow pants, our gear isn't built for one straight silhouette and graded up and down – it's designed around how women are actually shaped. We carry AU 6–24/US 2–4X across three fit cuts, so the right size is about matching your measurements and your shape, not sizing up three sizes just to fit your hips.

Grab a tape measure and take your waist, hip and inseam. Pop those into our size recommender tool, then choose the cut that matches your shape – Mila, Zali or Beatrice. If you're between sizes or you've always had to compromise on fit, we normally recommend to size down. Still unsure? Reach out and we'll size you personally.

How do I know which style is right for me?

Your style comes down to your body shape, because that's what our whole fit system is built around (not sure? take out Fit Quiz). Three cuts, each engineered for a different shape:

  • Mila – for a subtle curve or mild shaping through the hip and thigh, with a slightly defined waist. Contouring side stretch panels and 4-point waist adjustment.
  • Zali – for pear and hourglass shapes, where your waist is narrower than your hips with fuller thighs and a curvier bottom. Side stretch panels, 4-point waist adjustment and considered vent placement.
  • Beatrice – for apple and rectangle shapes, with a similar waist-to-hip ratio or extra room through the mid-section. 2-point waist adjustment and contouring stretch panels (Short and Regular).
bibs vs. pants - which should I get?

It comes down to coverage and personal preference – both perform, both fit beautifully, so it's really about what you love. Snow bibs sit higher up your torso with adjustable straps for extra coverage across your chest, which makes them a favourite for deep powder days and seriously cold conditions. The higher rise also means a bit more warmth when the temperature really drops.

Snow pants are quicker to get on and off, which many women prefer for spring laps, warmer days, or simply because it's the style they like best. Whichever you choose, you get the same no-rip gusseted crotch, 4-way stretch, 4-point waist adjustment and our shape-specific fit – so there are no waist gaps, no slipping and no snow sneaking in, whether you're in pants or bibs. Chasing powder and extra coverage? Go bibs. Want simpler? Go pants. There's no wrong answer here.
